haiku-r1~beta4_hrev57086-1-x86_64.hpkg just locked up attempting to checkfs/boot. I changed to a back-up partition at hrev56750 and ran checkfs on the other partition and no errors.

(AGMS) Hi ysei_-_ppc.
<B2IA>
(ysei_-_ppc) broken-PC is down , then ,
<B2IA>
(AGMS) Still going with BeShare here, though most of the action is on IRC now and the Haiku forum. So there's a bridge between BeShare and IRC chat.

(AGMS) If you're still using PPC, ysei_-_ppc, there's a BeShare 3.04 version for it, look inside BeShare_3.04.zip.
<B2IA>
(AGMS) But yes, this seems to be the last BeShare server still running fairly continuously.

Bug #18458 needs better reporting and overlaps with #16406. What is new is that the second slider, the one that says when to turn off the screen, is ignored.
<WildKeccak>
apparently.
<B2IA>
(AGMS) Was there ever a PineappleNews for PPC? Hmmm, I think not.
<B2IA>
(AGMS) SeaMonkey may do news, don't know if there is a PPC version of it.
<B2IA>
(AGMS) Oh, with older PPC web browsers, you can use http://FrogFind.com/ to view modern encrypted web pages.
<B2IA>
(ysei_-_ppc) Thanks , and now I shared BeInformed_*_099e.zip for both PPC and x86 .

so I was able to install haiku on to a usb stick via connecting the usb stick to a haiku VM via vmware. How can I boot my laptop off of this usb stick? It would seem I need a boot loader to recognize it first
