<rfs613> quick update on battery drain while sleeping, under windows with hibernation disabled... On friday evening I closed the lid with 93% battery. Opened it just now, 48 hours later, and battery reports 92%.

<adamcstephens> wow
<Dantheman825[m]> X13s sleep duration on Windows is noticeably better, yeah
<Dantheman825[m]> and I don't know if I even disabled hibernation or not

<jglathe_volterra> @Dantheman825[m] sudo do-release-upgrade -d didn't work here, some kept-back packages appear to be blocking it. Opted for the preinstalled way since the x13s install won't boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060868. Whatever works, I guess
<jglathe_volterra> Volterra BIOS has an activated ubuntu boot feature with the latest BIOS update, btw. If you happen to have it on the nvme it will start the grub from this one first. Needs to be switched off if you want to start from usb
<jglathe_volterra> Makes you wonder if Microsoft has a dtb for its box internally

<jglathe_x13s> okay removing the list of packages that were kept back enables do-release-upgrade -d
<Jasper[m]> <jglathe_volterra> "Volterra BIOS has an activated..." <- Oh nice, didn't know that

<jglathe_x13s> neither did I, or noticed until it didn't boot from the newly created stick
<jglathe_x13s> accidentally did the do-release-upgrade on the Volterra box instead of the x13s... oops
<jglathe_x13s> but appears to work, reboot came up
<jglathe_x13s> it wouldn't if it had used the newly installed kernel, though - no devicetree then
<jhovold> Here's an updated wip branch for the X13s:
<jhovold> Changes include:
<jhovold> - fix touchscreen power on (replaces previous wip fix)
<jhovold> - fix touchscreen suspend power consumption
<jhovold> - johan/arm64 defconfig: enable I2C_HID_OF_ELAN
<jhovold> - johan_defconfig: enable fuse, landlock, ipv6 netfilter for wireguard, binfmt_misc
