<hexdump0815> did anyone here successfully boot a v6.6 kernel on kukui from usb?
<hexdump0815> it works perfectly fine for me if booting from emmc which is how i was using it mostly, but while testing some newer images with a v6.6 kernel i noticed that they all get btrfs corruption while booting
<hexdump0815> that is the nice thing about btrfs: due to its internal checksumming disk issues get visible immediately
<hexdump0815> i think i also saw trouble with usb audio with my v6.6 kernels on kukui - so looks like some more usb patches seem to be required to make usb more reliable
<hexdump0815> i looked for kukui usb patches some weeks ago and did not find anything which looked promising to solve this kind of issues
<hexdump0815> so in case anyone here is aware of any good usb patches for kukui, please let me know
<hexdump0815> to be more exact about my above mentioned problem: booting from usb is not really the problem, but using usb for the rootfs as usb seems to not be reliable for that on kukui with v6.6
<hexdump0815> just verified: putting my v6.1.51 kernel into the same image makes it boot and run fine - so at least my v6.6.9 kernel has regressed usb
<weirdtreething[m]> <hexdump0815> "did anyone here successfully..." <- yeah I haver
<weirdtreething[m]> > <@_oftc_hexdump0815:matrix.org> did anyone here successfully boot a v6.6 kernel on kukui from usb?
<weirdtreething[m]> * yeah I have
<hexdump0815> weirdtreething[m]: do you have the kernel tree or patches you use somewhere online?
<hexdump0815> weirdtreething[m]: on which kukui device it works in your case? but i think they all use the same usb controller, so that should not really matter
