<holman> tobhe[m]: mask cloud-init? What for?
<tobhe[m]> nuked my default user on upgrade
<tobhe[m]> when i tested on my m1 mini
<tobhe[m]> but i found a better solution
<tobhe[m]> touch /etc/cloud/cloud-init.disabled
<tobhe[m]> hm I am slightly confused. Fedora seems to ship a newer u-boot release but there hasn't been one on github https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/asahi/u-boot/packages/ vs https://github.com/AsahiLinux/u-boot/tags
<tobhe[m]> ah because they ship patches on top of regular u-boot it seems https://pagure.io/fedora-asahi/uboot-tools/commits/main
<tobhe[m]> so closer to Debian except they still have a separate package, debian just patches asahi support into the main u-boot build

<tobhe[m]> john-cabaj: your prediction was on point, new 6.8 bug fix release is out
<john-cabaj[m]> Will have to check it out. I’ll give things a couple days to settle if they have another release.
<GarethWoolridge[m]> <GarethWoolridge[m]> "Here we go… d-r-u time." <- I’ve got the 2-3 minute network hang during boot but otherwise looking good so far!
<tobhe[m]> sure that it is network?
<tobhe[m]> I had to remove protection-domain-mapper
<tobhe[m]> new version of our meta package will have that as Conflicts so it is removed automatically
<tobhe[m]> also removed cloud-init on my laptop, not sure if that changed something
<eslerm[m]> I'm requesting that protection-domain-mapper and qrtr are remove from ubuntu-meta all together
<tobhe[m]> thank you!
