I wonder if DCP can be kicked to reenumerate modes of a monitor? I have a monitor that often has some mode missing after M1 coming out of sleep under macOS. The solution is to re-plug the cable, but I wonder if I can somehow detect it and trigger reenumeration under Linux without fiddling with cables.

that's not really a GPU question, more of a display controller function and no, not with a Type-C altmode adapter yet

dottedmag: from the os <-> dcp perspective turning the display off and on should be equivalent to re-plugging the cable. if not something inside dcp dcp goes wrong. not sure how one would convince dcp to re-read the modes from the display
