<linkmauve> Hi, I just watched Andrzej Pietrasiewicz’s talk at EOSS (https://youtu.be/lSg_bwD-Jhw) and someone with a French accent at the end mentioned they are working on H.264 and VP8 encoding in Cedrus, do you know who that is?
<linkmauve> Also TIL that the hardware can emit both VP8 and H.264, I never read about that before and thought it only did H.264.
<ndufresne> Sounds like Paul
<ndufresne> but let me check
<ndufresne> Yep, Paul Kocialkowski, works for Bootlin
<linkmauve> Ah yeah, I met him a few events ago, possibly at THSF in Toulouse.
<linkmauve> So about four years ago already…
<linkmauve> Does he hang around here?
<ndufresne> He's paulk, he's on #linux-media and #linux-sunxi
<ndufresne> This channel is kind of niche and quiete now
<ndufresne> But I think most relevant folks specifically for cedrus are here, jernej being current maintainer, mripard who work with Paul on the initial RE effort
