konradybcio: i'm pretty sure it works by accident...is there some configuration case that we're missing though? there was a patch recently from Taniya related to clk_set_rate() of a disabled rcg...the patch didn't look correct to me, but i'm not sure that there isn't an actual problem hidden in there

Main idea of shared_ops is that single rcg can have multiple branches and these branches might not all be exposed to linux so we cannot really know if there isn't let's say modem utilizing them?
