<M9lore[m]> Hi, does anyone knwo how to get serial on oneplus-kebab?
<ungeskriptet[m]> @9lore:tchncs.de Do you know where the testpoints are?
<ungeskriptet[m]> You probably need 1.8V
<ungeskriptet[m]> * 1.8V UART
<ungeskriptet[m]> Make sure the UART pins are high at boot, some bootloaders disable UART when there is no voltage
<ungeskriptet[m]> I personally advise you against UART, unless your device has already been taken apart
<ungeskriptet[m]> SimpleFB works just fine for the most cases
<ungeskriptet[m]> And is easier to set up
<M9lore[m]> nope, havent opened it yet due to glass and my past clumsyness
<M9lore[m]> currently it fails to boot and i have no idea why
<ungeskriptet> M9lore[m]: Did you erase dtbo and vendor_boot if you have that partition?
<M9lore[m]> vendor_boot doesnt seem to exist and i flashed dtbo as instructed in the wiki device page

<M9lore[m]> i think i should move to a support channel at this point
<ungeskriptet> M9lore[m]: Is it even using a mainline kernel?
<ungeskriptet> Downstream kernels tend to break after a while
<M9lore[m]> i thought it does, but just checked and apparently not
<M9lore[m]> though my issue was vbmeta at first
<M9lore[m]> Wouldnt it make sense to package the linaro sm8250 tree in pmaports?
<M9lore[m]> s/linaro//
<M9lore[m]> ignore my stupidity didnt check community
