clever, that's going to be hard to put into good use for practical reasons if you don't also have a GPU. Not impossible but awkward.

pq: yeah, they're running so many tests now that we probably want to bump the timeout to 120sec anyway, then the timeout multiplier would carry that to 8min which ... should be enough
<pq>
daniels, it's not the per-test-timeout, but the job timeout that is 5 mins now.
<pq>
looks like .build-env defines the timeout 5m
<daniels>
pq: yeah, we'd need to bump that higher as well - I think 15min would be totally fine tbh
<daniels>
pq: but the job you pointed to has the individual tests banging into timeout as well, so those would also need to be bumped
<pq>
oh yeah, it managed to hit *both* timeouts at the same time :-D
<daniels>
otoh, given that the retry passed with the offending tests taking 0.43s / 1.66s / 12.37s / 24.21s, something is clearly pathologically wrong with that run
<pq>
yup
<pq>
should I prep patches to bump both timeouts anyway?
<daniels>
please, and consider them acked by me
<pq>
alright

is it possible to start wayland without using display managers, just like startx (xorg-xinit)? if yes, can someone drop a link so I can follow it. thank you
<pq>
Ezo, yes, but you would be running whatever command your DE or compositor needs to run. Wayland per se is not a runnable.
<Ezo>
pq, do you have any tutorials to do that or what keyword should i search on search engine?
<ifreund>
Ezo: wayland is just a protocol, how you start a wayland compositor depends on the compositor
<ifreund>
for many, simply running them from a tty is all you need to do
<ifreund>
(i.e. there is no startx equivalent)
<Ezo>
okay, thank you for clarification. i use river btw
<ifreund>
oh, well in that case just running river from a tty is all you should need to do
<ifreund>
if you run into issues feel free to join us in #river on libera.chat
<Ezo>
that sounds good! and yes, I will join there. thank you!

pq: I'm also not sure why it ran for so long, given that the only jobs overlapping in execution were the docs build and the clang build+test ... unless the doc generation is a total DoS?

daniels, literally nothing else on the runner?
<daniels>
pq: yep :\
<pq>
sphinx could be anything I guess
