I wonder if there are any extra kernel parameters to tell the kernel to set fb0 as output?

19:04 <JensGlathe[m]> Hmm some odd datum. I'm testing the el2 image on a bigger screen (4k@60), and suspend / resume of the disply works flawlessly. Boot from the same disk in EL1, my 4k@60 BSOD appears after suspending the screen. EL2 doesn't load the ZAP firmware. It loads adsp and cdsp, but this doesn't work connecting them. All on Volterra with the miniDP connector. 2 different screens, same behaviour.
