<m1n1m4[m]> Hello all, which desktop is advisable for asahi.alpine? Need to use libreoffice stuff. Thanks
<mps> m1n1m4[m]: I don't use big desktops. though had good experience with xfce
<mps> alpine have gnome and kde but I didn't tried them
<m1n1m4[m]> right, nice i found a script on sbin to setup-desktop, i was preparing a usb, somehow i did not get it to work. I have a funny error on rc-service at the end of the install while running the scripts he says it is not a valid format
<m1n1m4[m]> i was trying to instal xfce
<mps> setup-xorg-base
<mps> it is old but should work
<mps> m1n1m4[m]: did you managed to install on btrfs?

<m1n1m4[m]> <mps> "and I have this https://arvanta..." <- great, thanks i lost that link, somehow
<m1n1m4[m]> <mps> "m1n1m4!: did you managed to..." <- the usb key, no need, i want it to have the graph env but nothing fancy, just to edit some files once in a while.
<m1n1m4[m]> thanks
<m1n1m4[m]> i use btrfs but with a minimal console + graph install and yes, i recovered the main installation editing grub.cfg and adding the btrfs trick and i worked fine. My btrfs setup is simple. Heard that could break with complexity and low disk space
<m1n1m4[m]> s/i/it/
<mps> m1n1m4[m]: in usb image there is script to install alpine on nvme
<mps> but I'm now drunk to tell you details
<mps> see you tomorrow, good night
