<jannau>
kettenis, marcan: is there a reason why we still have "nvme: Do a clean NVMe shutdown" in asahi:u-boot? I can't find it on the u-boot mailing list
<jannau>
if the only reason is that we never bothered to send it I'll include it
<linxz>
Could I request a brief moment of a C wizards time? :p
<marcan>
jannau: I don't remember which boot stage that was breaking but it was definitely breaking one of them, so yes (even if it doesn't currently break u-boot)
<marcan>
or maybe I just saw it with m1n1 experiments?
<marcan>
either way I know for sure not having that patch can cause breakage
<marcan>
even if it doesn't right now
<jn>
linxz: better just ask the actual question, and then people can decide whether they find it interesting
<linxz>
It isn't Ashai related so I didn't want to flood the channel.
<jn>
linxz: although for C stuff in general, -offtopic is probably the better channel
