Are there bounties for missing features, or for supporting new hardware? Or a way to donate hardware to devs to work on implementing support?
<chadmed>
dustydecapod: there are no bounties and the best way to support devs is to use gh sponsors or patreon
<chadmed>
other than that features come when theyre ready
<dustydecapod>
bummer, was hoping to provide more targeted support. oh well

its like this on purpose. folks dont want to feel obliged to work on things they dont have any interest in, especially not with an expected deadline or inflated urgency
<chadmed>
everything will get done, but when it's ready
<dustydecapod>
oh its not about urgency to me, macs are just expensive so i was thinking i could donate to help get hardware into hands of eager devs, or buy some h/w directly.
<dustydecapod>
i imagine its hard to write support for hardware you dont have on-hand xD

i think HW donations tend to be an exception to that
<krbtgt>
ofc it's also a matter of finding a developer willing and wanting

drm:pid72507:dcpep_process_chunks *WARNING* TimingElements without valid modes!
<kettenis>
I see that when I hotplug hdmi on my m2 pro
<kettenis>
do folks see that on Linux as well?
<kettenis>
m2 pro *mini* I mean
<janneg>
kettenis: they should not. in that state the display will not work

I suspect the main issue is that I don't fully understand the sequencing between messages on different rtk endpoints
<janneg>
the same root cause for the broken display on dptx devices after suspend

i was digging into the Bluetooth a bit now. First i connected a bluetooth speaker. I can connect and play music so everything seems to be fine. As soon as i disable the bluetooth and activate it again i have troubles to connect it again. As a workaround i can remove the device and connect it again. I also noticed that it will show me that it is connected but no music is played anymore and the speaker tells me it is disconnected.
<Guest1562>
Sometimes it will play after some time a bit of music but it will be disconnected again. Also the music will be played laggy.
<sven>
are you on a 2.4 GHz WiFi network?
<Guest1562>
yes i am connected to the wifi let me check what frequenz it is using since it supports 2.4 and 5 GHZ
<Guest1562>
i am connected to the wifi network via the 5GHZ
<leio>
might be doing SSID scans on 2.4 GHz though, e.g. via geoclue?
<sven>
the laggy music sounded like the known wifi/bt coexistence issues
<sven>
you can try to use btmon to see what’s going on with bluetooth
<sven>
this might also be a userspace issue fwiw

<Guest1562>
for me it looks like there is a problem with the disconnect, when the bluetooth gets suspended. The client also will not disconnect and stayed as paired. When the bluetooth gets then activated again it will disconect the client and later on connect again and in that meantime i can notice that the music gets laggy.
