<luben>
hi there
<luben>
I'm having a problem pushing to gitlab.freedesktop.org. A month ago all was working fine. But now I get "remote: GitLab: Internal API unreachable" and subsequently "pre-receive hook declined".
<luben>
Nothing has changed on my end. I just the same "git push" as I've always done.
<daniels>
bentiss: fwiw yesterday the openebs admission controller cert had expired, so I had to go renew it
<bentiss>
daniels: on the janitor front I also pushed a rule to allow sentry certs to get renewed, so you might be able to spin it up once again
<daniels>
nice, thankyou!
<bentiss>
daniels: we should probably just drop openebs, we don't use it, don't we?
<bentiss>
all of the pvc are rook-ceph but the backup one which is local-hostpath
<daniels>
bentiss: I ... guess so? :P
<bentiss>
actually, maybe local-hostpath is handled by openebs
<bentiss>
yes: kubectl get storageclass local-hostpath -> provisioner: openebs.io/local
<daniels>
urgh
<bentiss>
daniels: nice! -> https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/45873 -> the OPA+ceph bug is getting fixed, but "It sounds like we might deprecate this feature anyway, so I'm okay with this fix."
<daniels>
bentiss: nice! if only we could get MinIO + OPA :P
<bentiss>
daniels: once this is fixed, we can get ceph+opa to replace minio+opa
<bentiss>
meaning we could remove minio-packet and integrate it into the main cluster
<bentiss>
the other approach is to use istio to intercept the queries, but using native support would be way simpler
<bentiss>
I also need to check on the new JWT_TOKEN_2 to see if this is compatible with ceph/OPA
<daniels>
ahhh yes, I see what you mean! neat
<bentiss>
anyway, enough of fdo admin for me today, got some patch series to work on
<daniels>
enjoy!

daniels: I am tempted to reboot large-5, it seems its pods are not that healthy as new ones can not contact gitlab's API
<daniels>
bentiss: blegh, ufw issues?
<bentiss>
not sure, but rebooting might help
<daniels>
sure, sounds like a good plan
<bentiss>
and it's been drained and is rebooting now
<bentiss>
daniels: large-5 is back up and now webservices pods on this node are spinning up properly
<daniels>
woohoo \o/
<bentiss>
hopefully that'll be enough

alatiera: btw, is the WS2022 runner ready to throw stuff at it?
<alatiera>
daniels should be yes
<daniels>
alatiera: \o/
<daniels>
nice, thanks!
<daniels>
jenatali: ^
<alatiera>
once we port everything, maybe we could repurpose the existing 2019 runner to a second 2022 runner
<alatiera>
and migrate the 2019 one to something with lower resources to pick up the letfovers
<jenatali>
\o/
<daniels>
that'd be super awesome
<jenatali>
daniels: are you going to take a stab at bringing back the Mesa Windows CI or is that something I should be trying to do?
<daniels>
jenatali: I'm afraid I won't be able to for the next couple of weeks - I've gone back to school!
<jenatali>
daniels: ah cool! I'll be out for a few days but I'll try to figure it out when I get back
<daniels>
jenatali: ahh nice, enjoy the break :) I'll be finished by the back end of next week

when i ssh into a machine and use secret-tool, the prompt to unlock a keyring goes to the desktop session running; is there a way to have some sort of dbus-session-specific prompter? (or can someone redirect me on where to figure this out?)
