gst-htz-1-windows-shell and gst-htz-1-windows were last in contact 22 and 35 minutes ago... so it may be a network issue?
<mupuf>
hmm, the runner's server is still answering to ping
<__tim>
not sure if that means anything, might just be the linux host :)
<jenatali>
Any ideas for anything else to try?
<mupuf>
yep, but at least this is not a network issue

doesn't know enough to help
<daniels>
htz-5 is currently running one Mesa job and 2 gst-plugins-rs jobs
<mupuf>
daniels: how do you check that? grafana?
<daniels>
htz-1 is currently running one gst-plugins job, two gstreamer-rs jobs, one gstreamer job, and one Mesa job
<daniels>
mupuf: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/admin/runners -> tag: 2022 -> visually filter by 'docker' ('shell' is separate and only for container creation) -> click on each runner -> 'jobs'
<mupuf>
oh, I see, great!
<mupuf>
thanks :)
<mupuf>
I did not click on the runner :)
<daniels>
np
<daniels>
you can also go to /admin/jobs and either 'running' or 'pending' to see what the queue looks like
<mupuf>
thanks :) Next time, I can be more helpful :)
<jenatali>
Sounds like there should be capacity for more then? Any idea why at least this one isn't getting picked up?
<daniels>
yeah, I think we really do need capacity for more, especially with gst-rs
<__tim>
we have a gstreamer hackfest going on fwiw
<jenatali>
Oh that'd do it
<__tim>
if the issue persists we'll add another runner
<daniels>
lmk if you need a key
<__tim>
will do, thanks

Looks like it's not just the Windows runners having a hard time of it now
<daniels>
the x86-64 runners are nowhere near as terminal

I guess the GSt people are doing some quite heavy updates, because there are Windows jobs that have been going for ~1.5h, as well as the usual cavalcade of gstreamer-rs jobs
<daniels>
(I did poke about making those less heavy but everyone is just typing instead)
<jenatali>
:(
<__tim>
hackfest is gonna wrap up soon :)

Sorry for being a bother but this situation still seems busted to me - I see jobs from gstreamer that're queued <1h ago, meanwhile jobs from mesa that are now >7hrs old still haven't been picked up...
<jenatali>
Is there some kind of prioritization going on here?
<daniels>
jenatali: there isn’t that I know of, no …
<daniels>
translation: GitLab doesn’t even have the concept of priority
<daniels>
jenatali: if it remains wedged after half an hour or so, could you please push a change which removes ‘mesa’ from the tag set for windows? shouldn’t make a difference as the runners do have that tag, but that’s all I can see right now
<daniels>
(at least without being able to interrogate Rails)
<jenatali>
daniels: That's not the only wedged job - scrolling through Mesa's pipeline list there's ~10 pipelines all stuck waiting for a Windows runner. Oldest one looks like >3hrs now
<jenatali>
Will try removing the tag...
___nick___ has quit []
<daniels>
yeah, hence wondering about the tag
<daniels>
ta
<daniels>
if that does it, please just smash in a MR immediately with my Rb

ah, thanks

I tried adding the Reply-To header to the messages I was sending to xorg-announce to see if that made a difference
<mattst88>
I didn't receive them still :(

as much as I hate it as a user, I can understand why gnome has abandoned mailing lists completely and moved to discourse forums instead

Hi bentiss, daniels told me I could help you with MinIO migration and the new logging approach. Do you have some pointers for me? E.g., Some setup instructions or upstreamed branches. I recently did some experiments with MinIO locally, so it is not utterly alien to me.
