jenneron[m]: changing the high to low has allowed the max98390 to get further now trying to find the firmware bin files and fails. Is there a way to have the names of the firmware in the dts? I found the firmware files and they have a L and a R version.
<janrinze>
filenames are dsm_param_L_Google_Dojo.bin and dsm_param_R_Google_Dojo.bin. In ./sound/soc/codecs/max98390.c there is a provision for vendor and product but I have not yet figure out how to have two instances that identify as left and right and subsequently retrieve their respective firmware..

janrinze: dmesg?
dcz has joined #linux-cros-arm
<weirdtreething[m]>
While DSM is good, I don't think you really need it
<weirdtreething[m]>
So I don't think it would be causing audio to not work

jenneron[m]: I'm throwing in the towel.. it took 2 days to get a kernel running. It has been 3 weeks trying to get sound working.. I'll wait for someone to do better with testing and fixing sound ;-)
<janrinze>
On the bright side: we fixed quite a few issues (unrelated to sound ;-) )
<janrinze>
jenneron[m]: If you have images for dojo to test I'm happy to do that. I just want to take some time off from kernel fiddling and infinitely rebooting, rinse repeat..
<ellyq>
janrinze: MT? if so, i'll get to that when i'll feel better
<ellyq>
i've had to go to ER today, really... upset about my health issues honestly
<ellyq>
i'll try to work on submarine today, so we can dual-boot
<jenneron[m]>
ellyq: those problems are mt8195-dojo specific
<jenneron[m]>
i will tell angelo that we don't work on it anymore
