<DylanVanAssche> In Alpine Linux CI some tests fail which require QMI over QRTR. The socket protocol for QRTR is not available there yet due to a missing KConfig. If I understand it correctly, enable CONFIG_QRTR=m should be enough? Or are there other KConfigs needed?
<z3ntu> Dylan Van Assche: does it actually want to communicate with something using qrtr or just create a socket and maybe communicate locally?
<z3ntu> but yes, QRTR socket support in kernel is useful when you want to create a QRTR socket
<DylanVanAssche> Luca WeissI have a QRTR server written in Python to emulate the DSP I communicate to in the tests. When either the server or client wants to start, it complaints about AF_QIPCRTR missing as a socket protocol.
<z3ntu> But also if it's for linux-edge for example, the Arch kernel has these options CONFIG_QRTR=m CONFIG_QRTR_SMD=m CONFIG_QRTR_TUN=m CONFIG_QRTR_MHI=m and at least on my Dell x86_64 laptop there's a "ATH10k WLAN firmware service" reachable via qrtr_mhi it seems
<z3ntu> so you might want to enable all of them for a general purpose kernel

<DylanVanAssche> Okay, yeah in Alpine they are not present in their default kernels. These kernels are also used in their CI
