<mangix> aparcar[m]: a simple makefile is easy
<mangix> autotools or cmake is somewhat annoying. what are you looking to migrate?
<mangix> aparcar[m]: go to cd, run meson init, and modify it as needed.
<mangix> /s/cd/src
<mangix> just looked. that's not a simple makefile...

<mangix> aparcar[m]: it's feasible, just not as simple as meson init + a few changes

<aparcar[m]> Mhhh I’ll ask upstream
<mangix> speaking of meson, I looked into transitioning core openwrt utilities to meson. Ran into some issues
<mangix> they don't use pkgconfig and they're not versioned for some reason
<fda-> jow: it was hard to find the cause that my incomming ipv6 forwards on prefix changes didnt work anymore. my ipv6 chnages regulary (silly german telekom). and i dnat some static adresses like ::affe for incomming webserver
<fda-> what about a checkbox on custom rules page to set the "reload"?
<fda-> duplicate roules can simply prevented by a -D befora every -A and -I. maybe this could be a hint on luci page
<fda-> to use " ip6tables-save" was a very good idea as i could not imagine the roules where lost ehen my IPv6 gets exchanged by provider

<aparcar[m]> mangix: elaborate
<mangix> aparcar[m]: typically with meson a dependency is declared as "a = dependency('libname') which doesn't work with core openwrt libraries. Need to use find_library

<chipant> Hi,
<mangix> hola
<chipant> I am a very novice developer. I have a question that whether we can host like nodejs server on top of openwrt service a webapp in a local network.

<nick[m]1234> aparcar: I just play around with the reuse tool. I thought before doing openwrt/openwrt, I check openwrt/packages for REUSE specification. However, it complains about a lot of files having no lincense. What do we do with that files? Is the aim to have reuse lint running succesfully?
<nick[m]1234> it is written under "Copyright and Licensing Information" https://reuse.software/spec/
<nick[m]1234> "Each file in the Project MUST have Copyright and Licensing Information associated with it, except the following files:"
<nick[m]1234> :/
<owrt-snap-builds> Build [#317](https://buildbot.openwrt.org/master/images/#builders/22/builds/317) of `ipq40xx/generic` failed.
<aparcar[m]> nick: I guess nothing wrong with every file
<nick[m]1234> aparcar: that includes patch files?
<nick[m]1234> aparcar: also that would require us to add also a license to all Makefiles that currently don't have any or all source code
<nick[m]1234> aparcar: I would also like to comply with the REUSE Specification. :)

<russell--> hanetzer: pas moi, but you should buy some and then report back on what you find for the next person ;-)
<hanetzer> and on that note, there's an alternate firmware for a modified uboot-mediatek and build support for it in tree; any documentation on how one would apply this, since my understanding is these are glued close so no easy way to access the flash
<hanetzer> russell--: 'pas moi' being? I don't grok what i think is french :P
<russell--> not me
<russell--> and with that, i've used up about 50% of my french vocabulary
