MainudeenSumro[m]: What do you mean with "specific with It's driver"?
<ungeskriptet>
Maybe start by saying which device you have

Is this some new project? I saw it on PMOS's wiki page for sm8250, and I got interested. Would this project also work on Android? I have a moto g100, and it would be interesting to boot mainline kernel on this device. I don't have any kernel-dev experience however, so I don't think I'll be able to help 😅

Zekiu_[m]: No it's not really new. I just created this chatroom for help/discussion about SM8250.

Do you mean booting Android with a mainline kernel? It's possible to do that but it's not really worth it in my opinion
<ungeskriptet>
If you want to boot a mainline kernel you only need to write a minimal dts for early bring up
<ungeskriptet>
It should contain qcom,msm-id and qcom,board-id, reserved-memory, gpio-reserved-ranges and simplefb
