<popey[m]> I can see why someone might make that conclusion. I think the thing to note is the smiley used by the github issue. Assuming good intent, I think they have a point. I don't agree, but it's a fair comment to make I guess. I know a bunch of Open Source projects that go all professional, and you absolutely lose the personal aspects. I don't care either way, personally. My name is sprawled all over stuff I make. None of it is big and
<popey[m]> professional like your stuff though. I only aspire to "Who is Alan Pope!?" style github issues :D
<popey[m]> My poor M1 is losing 1.5% per hour in suspend. Is this only happening on Ubuntu Asahi, or also other Asahi builds? I unplugged and shut the lid yesterday at 60% and woke it up ~24 hours later, and it's down to 24% :(
<john-cabaj[m]> Pretty sure this is an ongoing issue upstream, too.
<john-cabaj[m]> So I don't think much progress has been made on that front in the better part of a year
<tobhe[m]> <popey[m]> "I can see why someone might make..." <- probably just because everyone already know famous podcast host popey 😉
<tobhe[m]> maybe we need to add a who are we section to our website
<tobhe[m]> If someone(TM) could help me test this I would very much appreciate it
<popey[m]> tobhelulz
<popey[m]> Adding the ppa and updating my m1 now.
<popey[m]> installed, now what, reboot, I suppose. *gulp*
<popey[m]> tobhe1.4.15-1ubuntu0.1~asahi1 installed and I'm back in the room.
<tobhe[m]> nice thx 🙂
<tobhe[m]> publishing
<tobhe[m]> popey: have you already upgraded your macos btw?
<tobhe[m]> this m1n1 should fix one regression people have been seeing with sequoia
<tobhe[m]> <tobhe[m]> "I think there normally shouldn't..." <- so much about this 😄
<popey[m]> ooh, no I have not updated macos
<popey[m]> I use this machine for podcasting, because it's silent, so I am quite cautious :)
<popey[m]> Oh, also use it for compiling telegram :D
<popey[m]> vroom
<tobhe[m]> that looks pretty busy
<popey[m]> the telegram snap builds their own patched qt. takes ages
<tobhe[m]> that sounds like something telegram would do
<popey[m]> Finally... Packed telegram-asahi_5.5.5_arm64.snap
