17:19 <tobhe[m]> I think there normally shouldn't be an issue as your asahi installation doesn't share the firmware and boot partition with your actual macos

17:20 <tobhe[m]> otoh there was a problem with an apple boot update at some point where the screen stopped working, but that was technically an apple bug that would have also been broken without asahi

18:37 <tobhe[m]> the update will make macos the default but you can easily change that by booting into the recovery menu and holding the option key while selecting the Ubuntu boot entry
