16:59 <robclark> I think gst just ends up using glimagesink which handles YUV by treating it as R8+R8G8 textures and doing color conversion in shader.. for non-UBWC that should be fine.. what does "messed up colors" look like.. and what decoder do you end up using?

17:03 <steev> it also doesn't actually play, the video, it's like it errors on the first frame and stays frozen there (but audio plays fine)

17:05 <robclark> it looks like it is inverting U & V.. ie. the color planes match up, so it isn't like calculating the wrong offset to the chrome plane(s)... if this is sw decode, I guess it is likely 3-plane I420.. if hw decode it is likely NV12.. either way it looks like U & V are inverted
