<hexdump0815> looks like there is some new snapdragon 7c windows notebook in the low end sector: acer aspire 1 a114-61 - 4gb ram and 64gb emmc ... for a usually lower price one can get a lazor which has the better specs and i way more mainline friendly i would guess :)

<macc24> i still wanna get efi running on arm chromebooks
<macc24> and get windows 10 running on it
<macc24> just because it would be funny
<robclark> win10 would need acpi, I suspect.. otherwise u-boot's efi impl is probably complete enough
<macc24> >acpi
* macc24 shrivels
<robclark> windows has a pretty different approach to handling clk/icc/power scaling compared to linux.. you'd probably need to implement a PEP driver for windows (for things that aren't already supported by windows) to get much more than you can get with linux acpi boot
<macc24> i just want it to be able to reach the desktop
<robclark> not entirely sure if win has sw fallbacks or needs gpu to reach desktop.. in latter case you are SOL..
<macc24> it should be able to run on efifb
<macc24> i think
<robclark> if efifb and no accel is ok, it might work.. you could try db410c which has u-boot support and also a win10 img
<macc24> if i had it i would try it but i don't so chromebooks it is
