Finally figured out libunwind was why x11 didn't work, so I have xfce running now. Gnome gives me the white screen of death tho, I have to look into that yet. At some point I'll attempt a real installer, I've only just looked at slackware's installer but I'll need to familiarize myself with all that in much deeper detail,
