And I can see the size of this rectangle in the monitor settings (some more pixels in height). It should be just a screen like any other for the application just with some pixels more in height? Then it is simply a bug in ardour.

11:16 <cy8aer> ardour renders beneath the panel (which I rendered a bit thicker - 58px or so). The panel is not shown and the side bars of ardour are cut by a third. Unfortunatelly the window cannot be resized to a with inside the desktop when in floating mode. (but it renders 3:2 - mbp14)
