<Glanzmann> mps: I also have white noise on the newest rebase.
<Glanzmann> On the audio jack that is. I never had the speakers enabled. Okay povik did some tests on my wifes macbook air remotely with the speakers. :-)
<Glanzmann> mps: With the latest rebase are also i2c issues which make alsamixer dogslow.
<mps> Glanzmann: as I told on #asahi-dev I 'fixed' it with alsamixer switching headphone mux to secondary and back to primary
<Glanzmann> Ah I see, I need to test that but I don't know how to do that.
<mps> Glanzmann: 'Item: Headphone Playback Mux' and with up/down arrow in alsamixer
<Glanzmann> I see, thanks.
<mps> second control from the left side
<mps> OT question, but how to disable continued scroll in firefox after the fingers left touchpad
<mps> idk how this 'feature' is called
<jannau> kinetic scroll
<mps> aha, thanks
<mps> so that happens because I have 'export MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1' in /etc/environment

<Glanzmann> mps: Have you already tried asahi-6.2-rc3-2?
<Glanzmann> marcan: asahi-6.2-rc3-2 fixes the i2c errors, alsamixer, sound and suspend/resume for me. Tested on the mini.
<mps> Glanzmann: yes, but the behavior is same as with 6.2-rc3-1
<Glanzmann> mps: Okay, I only tested on the mini, but not on the air. Let me test on the air.
<Glanzmann> mps: You mean the white noise on the jack or any other issues?
<mps> Glanzmann: distortion of sound, not white noise
<mps> but maybe it is some strange white noise mixed with sound
<mps> Glanzmann: and sound on speakers doesn't continue after resume
<Glanzmann> mps: Yesterday when I rebooted with the asahi-6.2-rc3 I had noise without playing anything on the audio jack.
<mps> ah, didn't noticed that anytime
<Glanzmann> mps: I have the speakers still disabled in order to test the same kernel the rest of the debian folks are using, if they use my kernel build.
<Glanzmann> mps: Still have the white noise on the air with the new kernel.
<Glanzmann> However it is gone once I start to play music. I'll do a video and upload it.
<mps> (I'm busy with some other things to test on m1 mpb j293)
<Glanzmann> I see.
<Glanzmann> povik / marcan / jannau: This is the issue I'm seing: https://tg.st/u/VID_20230114_192924168.mp4
<Glanzmann> I have external speakers connected.
<Glanzmann> This is on m1 air.
<Glanzmann> Oh and the i2c issues are also back: https://pbot.rmdir.de/UppmruSWPIzAMsOUMpCtag
<mps> hm, I didn't noticed i2c problem
<Glanzmann> mps: I see, apparantly I only have it on the air, but not the mini.
<Glanzmann> But I think m mentioned that he doesn't know where it comes from, but does now fight the symptoms.
<Glanzmann> As a result I still get the messages, but alsamixer is smooth for me.
* mps need to print codes of different macs to have it handy

<mps> I'm now working on upgrading latest stable kernel for alpine because I think it have possible serious bug on x86
<Glanzmann> mps: I see, what is the issue with x86?
<mps> I saw few FPU fixes for x86
