<marcan> er, so about that WPA3 support thing
<marcan> I think the driver is fine?
<marcan> it claims to support SAE offload (not non-offloaded SAE)
<marcan> wpa_supplicant does *not* support SAE offload
<marcan> and it wants the host-side SAE
<marcan> so it doesn't work, and this applies to all brcmfmac cards

<ar> marcan: do you know if iwd supports that?
<Emantor> ar: their wiki says it does: https://iwd.wiki.kernel.org/offloading
<jannau> marcan: iwd uses SAE offload and it fails immediately
<jannau> but according to the article it ight not be specific to apple's firmware
<jannau> we should at least not report that SAE offloading is supported if it doesn't work
<Glanzmann> ar: For me it did not work with iwd.
<marcan> I guess I need to try iwd
<Glanzmann> marcan: You can use the Debian rootfs and install it. https://tg.st/u/m1.tgz (dd to partition and than do resize2fs)
<marcan> I have an ALARM rootfs lying around now
<landscape15[m]> marcan: is a second machine still needed to turn on the Wi-Fi card?

<robher> marcan: I think you missed one power-domains fix: Documentation/devicetree/bindings/pci/apple,pcie.example.dt.yaml: pcie@690000000: Unevaluated properties are not allowed ('power-domains' was unexpected)
<robher> marcan: It probably doesn't show up because of a dtschema issue that I'm fixing.
