I had a similar issue adding a comment to a MR, it detected my comment as spam. I remember finally being able to post it, reloading the page, and formatting it again, but I don't remember exactly how.
<ylatuya[m]>
The error message was: "Your comment could not be submitted because your comment has been recognized as spam. please, change the content to proceed.."
<slomo>
yeah i also had multiple users complaining about that

I've seen quite a few complaints about that
<__tim>
apparently one thing not to do is to copy'n'paste a big comment from elsewhere and then hit 'submit' because then it will think you can't possibly have typed it that quickly or something
<__tim>
I guess the same thing could happen if your browser cached a previous draft

yeah, gitlab got very aggressive with spam detection in recent releases, it's really annoying :(
<eric_engestrom>
(which I think is unlikely to be successful because everyone will always complain about things like that so it's likely they'll just ignore that)
<eric_engestrom>
I think they also got more aggressive with logging users out if anything changes, like the ip address, which means on my phone I have to login again every time I open gitlab, even if it's just been a few hours since I last opened gitlab on my phone
<mupuf>
Unfortunately, we can't use it with gitlab.freedesktop.org as the list of supported tls ciphers is has no intersection with the supported list of ipxe (https://ipxe.org/crypto)
<mupuf>
but that's an nginx configuration
