18:59 <eric_engestrom> DavidHeidelberg: re- deqp-runner!65, compressing these massively redundant text files is a very good idea, although I agree with anholt that picking gz instead of zstd (which is also the standard that everything uses nowadays) is a weird choice since it's worse in both size and perf; I assume that's it's a trivial change though, so with that and the missing recursion for the vulkan case, your MR should be good to go :)

20:00 <DavidHeidelberg> eric_engestrom: gz was because 1. we compress rootfs anyway (zstd), 2. Gzip was already used in deqp-runner. I think Emma comment make sense and I'll adjust for zstd
