@lumag: If you want to run only the msm jobs, you can use ci_run_n_monitor.py tool from mesa project. It will detect the target job and its dependencies and will run them. There is no need to manually click the jobs to run.
<MathieuBridon[m]>
problem is the pycangjie CI doesn't find the cangjie.pc file which is installed as part of libcangjie-devel package π

We are due for a gitlab security upgrade for quite a while now. I'll upgrade to v17.1.0 in a few minutes
<eric_engestrom>
bentiss: still ongoing?
<bentiss>
about to finish
<eric_engestrom>
ack
<bentiss>
migration is done
<eric_engestrom>
I assume that's why posting comments is failing
<bentiss>
all the gitaly pods are back up
<bilboed>
that was fast
<bentiss>
yeah, usually after a refresh of the db like last month the migration is quick enough
<bentiss>
AFAICT, everything is back up now
<eric_engestrom>
yup, I could post my comment
<eric_engestrom>
thanks for the security upgrade!
<bentiss>
(honestly I was really late, like 14 days....)

didn't see any security release since 17.0, only patch releases, did I miss something ?
<bilboed>
* security release announcements since 17.0,
<bentiss>
they now merge both security and patch release in the same minor
<bilboed>
#confusion ftw
<bentiss>
they realized that their customers were not happy to have "hey, this is a security release", and the next day "hey, this is a patch release"
<__tim>
MathieuBridon[m], and where is libcangije-devel being installed? I can't see it in the output of the respective prep image build nor in the .gitlab-ci.yml file for that commit
<daniels>
yeah, Iβd be happy to just nuke the mesa/gst/wayland/xorg ones now, but maybe xz a copy somewhere so we can restore them if thereβs screaming
<MathieuBridon[m]>
__tim ah, so python-devel is missing, which is kind of obvious, as I'm compiling a Python extension π€¦ββοΈ

<kevinmitnick>
now it starts to take shape, i would not call such table an offset but program counter in case of execution and offset in case of data, it just asks for a pc and gives back the virtual address of the correct length's index, so pc1 is pinned with formula value=(value+index)+indexfromconst=const+index. It's pure logics, well data banks use offset only when you want to save space for
<kevinmitnick>
data, but those do not pass through anymore, compacted data has no dependencies so the formula is value+indexfromconst-offset=const+index+offset, i think as of now i can leave also from irc, it took some explaining. Kevin Mitnick knows better than you.
<kevinmitnick>
err const+length in the first
<kevinmitnick>
christ sakes , but this should infact work

heh, of course, now there is a 17.1.1 gitlab update available :)
<mupuf>
ha ha

you're fast, the announcement for 17.1.1 isn't even up

bilboed: we've got a scheduled pipeline that checks for updates and automatically creates the devops MR :)
scrumplex_ has joined #freedesktop
<bilboed>
what does it check ? git tags on gitlab-org ?
<eric_engestrom>
bentiss: looking at the diff there's a lot of `v17.0.1 -> v17.1.1` which feels like maybe the previous one didn't actually update to 17.1 properly?
<eric_engestrom>
(first time reading this diff so it's likely I'm just misreading it)
<bentiss>
eric_engestrom: the new version came before I pushed the main branch, so it goes from 17.0.1 to 17.1.1 instead of 17.1.0 to 17.1.1
<eric_engestrom>
I see; I guess if you close the MR it will re-create it with the correct diff?
<bentiss>
the shown diff is made on the content of the repo, not what is actually deployed. The repo in itself doesn't have access to the cluster as we might inadvently leak secrets
<bentiss>
yeah I can close/delete it :)
<bentiss>
technically, changing the name is enough IIRC
<eric_engestrom>
indeed, line 114 -> it only checks for an exact match of the title
<eric_engestrom>
(among open MRs)
<eric_engestrom>
and yeah, I figured it wouldn't have access to the deployment, but also I assume unless you go in and manually change the deployment, it should be in sync, right?
<bentiss>
yeah, they are roughly in sync. Roughly because the deployed config is slightly different, as it needs the secrets, and sometimes we forget to make things proper and have some details in "common" instead of "equinix-DC"
<bentiss>
I wonder if I should not `sed -i s/v17.0.1/v17.1.1` and others in current-deployment.yaml, before getting the diff output. It should remove the obvious and useless changes
<bentiss>
because 8.0.1 and 8.1.1 are the gitlabVersion file output, so I have it too

oh great, now the build fails in the CI but not locally on my laptop π
<MathieuBridon[m]>
fixing it will require trial and errors to figure out what might be the problem between Cython and Python and gcc, and then pushing to reproduce the failure in the CI... fun times (not π€―)
