<Trevinho>
Hi, any reason why fedora weblate can't push to the fdo repo? Impossible to send fprintd/fprintd: fatal: could not read Username for 'https://gitlab.freedesktop.org': terminal prompts disabled (128)
<bentiss>
daniels, kbingham: all the problematic VM runners have been dropped
<daniels>
bentiss: thankyou!
<kbingham>
bentiss, Aha, thanks - do I need to do anything on our CI to make sure we clean up apt? or something like that ? (i.e. was this 'our' fault', or something external?)
<bentiss>
daniels: the idea is probably to replace those with dedicated (done), but also some "on demand" loads, like ci-templates, or special requests
<bentiss>
kbingham: not your fault, the disks were small, but I counted on the fact that the runners would rotate enough to start fresh. Problem is that they were too much solicited, and so never restarted (or not enough)
<bentiss>
the available dedicated runners have 2 or 4 TB and a background script which cleans up space as needed, so this should not happen
<kbingham>
Ok - thanks for cleaning it up ;-) I'm happy if I have no further action :D
<bentiss>
Trevinho: same than daniels, why? but the only reason that could have happened if it was working ~1 month ago is that we changed the IP address (and will again in a couple of weeks)
<bentiss>
MrCooper: re meaning it could break again? -> the VMs are not picking any untagged jobs, so I would say no
<bentiss>
MrCooper: re BTW, any idea why ci-templates setting the kvm tag doesn't take effect? -> yes, that's because the template to *use* the image doesn't set any tags because we can not make choices for the users. The kvm tag at the beginning is only used for generating the image
<alatiera>
I had a couple image rebuilds queued, it might have eaten up some space in the runners

<Trevinho>
daniels, bentiss: So it fails to push when using a branch that does not match the upstream one... As I wanted to have a local branch that is different from the main one that weblate inspects (where potfile is automatically synchronized)
<Trevinho>
when using push-branch: master and pull branch something-else it fails, however I've just went back to use master for all and it's fine now
<daniels>
Trevinho: 'could not read Username' means that GitLab is prompting you for authentication which isn't being passed through
<daniels>
I have no idea how that's set up on the Fedora side, but possibly the SSH key or HTTPS auth token you're using is limited to only the primary branch
<Trevinho>
daniels: yeah that seems the case, it's weird though that only changing the destination branch leads to that, not sure what happens when pushing in weblate, since the project is (and was) configured to push to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/fprintd.git but then it actually pushes to a branch of https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/weblate/fprintd so it's unclear to me what happens under the hood

<svuorela>
I'm getting a 404. please contact your gitlab administrator when clicking on the create MR link that pushing a branch offers me
<svuorela>
I thought I was, but apparantly I just got kicked out. Let me try again
<svuorela>
so yeah. Apparantly my previous login attempt 10 minutes ago failed without me noticing it somehow
<bentiss>
heh
<svuorela>
(Though gitlab could also be a bit more helpful with a 'merge requests are definitely not available for users not logged in')

<alanc>
yeah, I hit that last week too, really seems like it should be a permission error, not a page not found error for the create MR page when not logged in
<bentiss>
problem is that if you are trying to access a private repo, you can leak info if you return something different than 404. The error message could be a little bit more verbose though
