<tlwoerner> inspired by the talk earlier today, i decided to try lima and glmark2 on my rock64 board
<tlwoerner> unfortunately i've also stumbled across an issue where my board won't boot the 5.13 kernel that i have, but it will boot 5.10
<tlwoerner> so i'm not sure if the results i'm getting might be affected by running an older kernel
<anarsoul> tlwoerner: 5.10 should be good enough
<anarsoul> my rock64 runs 5.11, I haven't updated it in a while
<anarsoul> let my try that
<tlwoerner> the 2nd [effect2d] test flashes really badly
<tlwoerner> and the [terrain] refuses to run
<tlwoerner> Error: SceneTerrain requires Vertex Texture Fetch support, but GL_MAX_VERTEX_TEXTURE_IMAGE_UNITS is 0
<anarsoul> terrain is not supported, GP doesn't support texture samples
<anarsoul> it's hw limitation
<tlwoerner> [terrain] <default>: Unsupported
<tlwoerner> ah
<anarsoul> I'm not sure about effect2d, but make sure you're running latest mesa
<anarsoul> latest stable should be fine
<tlwoerner> 21.2.1 ?
<anarsoul> yeah
<anarsoul> 21.2.x, I don't think there were any fixes for lima in 21.2.1
<anarsoul> but there were plenty in 21.2 :)
<tlwoerner> is there a way to tell glmark2 to skip a test?
<anarsoul> try --help?
<anarsoul> iirc -b <benchmark> runs specified benchmark
<anarsoul> I don't remember if there's an option to exclude particular benchmarks
<tlwoerner> right, so i'll create a benchmark file and include all but the [terain] one in it, then run it with -f <benchmark-file>
<anarsoul> btw terrain doesn't crash, glmark2 should just complain and skip it
<tlwoerner> the flashing only happens when the effect2d test is run --fullscreen
<anarsoul> tlwoerner: open a bug at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues ?
