tlwoerner: what distro do you use?
<tlwoerner>
anarsoul: i build my own images using yocto/oe, working with master so the sources are relatively up-to-date
<tlwoerner>
i was off fixing the boot issue i was having with my rock64 and newer kernels but i've run the glmark2-es2 test again on the rock64 fullscreen using the x11-glesv2 flavour
<tlwoerner>
this time i'm ssh'ed into the board and tailing the system logs
<tlwoerner>
right after the first [effect2d] test and the second [effect2d] test the kernel spat out
<tlwoerner>
rock64 kernel: lima ff300000.gpu: fail to save task state from glmark2-es2 pid 714: error task list is full
<tlwoerner>
and the 2nd [effect2d] test showed that terrible flashing that i've seen once in a while
<tlwoerner>
the 2nd time i ran the test i received that same message after the second [effect2d] test, then 2 tests later the board rebooted before printing anything useful to the log
<tlwoerner>
the 3rd test i ran the kernel did an oops just as the test started: https://paste.ee/p/My9xl

tlwoerner: make sure you have all the necessary regulator drivers enabled in your kernel
<anarsoul>
basically your system crashes under load, so I suspect that CPU or GPU are undervolted
