<hexdump0815> janrinze: i built a current debian trixie image which should have about the same mesa version as the backports and tried it with a v6.12.5 kernel and it does not really work for me
<hexdump0815> janrinze: xorg starts and i can run glxgears or glmark2 but their windows remain black and i get tons of gpu data errors in dmesg
<hexdump0815> janrinze: are you using any special patches in your nyan setup? which version do you have: 2/4g, hd/fhd? 2g hd here
<janrinze> hexdump0815: all good questions. GPU errors are definitely a hint that your setup is missing some things.
<janrinze> hexdump0815: is your keyboard and touchpad functional?
<janrinze> hexdump0815: the config and such are available at https://github.com/janrinze/mainline_kernel_on_CB5-311 where i am also thinking to put a full crossbuild script.
<janrinze> added the crosscompile script too. This is an OS agnostic setup, meaning that the kernel will mount the rootfs and has the USB3 firmware built-in. That is because I'm running it from a USB attached disk.
<hexdump0815> janrinze: thanks a lot for the link - i'll double check against that when i find some time ... just to be sure: for you glmark2 and glxgears are running fine? which nyan model is this (see above)?
<Jasper[m]> I am also curious now, I'm having a hard time getting nouveau to load Xorg
<Jasper[m]> with similar kernelconfig setup
<Jasper[m]> https://paste.centos.org/view/da645cd9 for reference, here's the dmesg
