<hexdump0815> just a question out of curiosity: i saw that for msm8916 (sd410) usb otg is not supported on any device - is there a technical reason for this or is it just because so far nobody got it working yet or nobody looked into this yet?
<minecrell> hexdump0815: For proper USB OTG/host mode, the device needs to supply the port with power. This is often the difficulty since the way that works varies from device to device. On MSM8916 it's most often part of some extra charger chip
<minecrell> hexdump0815: I'd expect that setting the port manually to host mode works pretty much everywhere
<hexdump0815> minecrell: thx for this info - so it might be possible to set it host mode and use some externally powered hub on the port then?
