<DylanVanAssche> However, I used the ./get_maintainers.pl script, did I forgot something?
<z3ntu> Dylan Van Assche: I guess this goes via asoc tree, not qcom tree based on existing commits on that file
<z3ntu> I think it should've gone to "alsa-devel@alsa-project.org (moderated list:QCOM AUDIO (ASoC) DRIVERS)" , I also can't see your patch in alsa patchwork https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/alsa-devel/list/?series=&submitter=196755&state=*&q=&archive=both&delegate=

<bamse> DylanVanAssche: as z3ntu says, the status in the msm project in patchwork reflects the qcom soc tree, patches going elsewhere is marked "Not Applicable"
<DylanVanAssche> Ah ok so I can just resend it then and put the ALSA devel list in --to and Linux ARM in --cc then?
<bamse> if you used get_maintainer, don't you have alsa-devel in there already?
<DylanVanAssche> No, it didn't...
<DylanVanAssche> I got people who maintain it, but no mailing lists
<z3ntu> Dylan Van Assche: What options are you using for get_maintainers? By default both lists and people get printed
<DylanVanAssche> z3ntu: Oh I just did a websearch to get the right args for LKML, but maybe it was the wrong one. Will fix it now that I know what is wrong 🙂
<z3ntu> Dylan Van Assche: I'm using this, seems to be okay for most cases https://github.com/z3ntu/dotfiles/blob/master/scripts/usr/local/bin/cocci_cc
<z3ntu> For smaller series it might make sense to send the whole series to every receipient, not just the cover letter to all
<DylanVanAssche> Okay, thanks!
<bamse> DylanVanAssche: are you sure? when i run get_maintainer on wcd-mbhc-v2.c i get alsa-devel@...
<bamse> DylanVanAssche: i actually don't get myself or linux-arm-msm@...perhaps the entry has been updated or something
<bamse> DylanVanAssche: so it sounds reasonable to resend that
