<robclark> sboyd: btw, saw this crash..

<robclark> sboyd: oh, this might be something in steev's x13s kernel not play nicely
<robclark> steev: didn't look close enough to see if this is a good fix.. but this is a fix:
<steev> robclark: yeah, i think that stuff is part of abelvesa's syncstate patchset
<robclark> ok.. possible something didn't get added for sc7280?
<steev> it's possible it wasn't tested on 7280, as i believe the focus was 8280
<steev> i don't have any 7280 devices here, only 845, 8180x and 8280xp
<robclark> not sure if there are a lot of 7280 things in the wild.. saw something about a samsung (?) laptop
<steev> why are you using the rc7?
<steev> but regardless, the patchset probably hasn't been updated between then and 6.3.5
<robclark> didn't look like you had 6.3 final
<steev> it's linux-6.3.y
<robclark> ahh
<steev> the linux-x.z.y are the stable trees
<steev> but it'll probably still have the issue
<robclark> well, wtvr, don't really want to switch kernel until I can get to point of building my own kernel on the laptop
<steev> yeah, that makes sense :)

<steev> robclark: shouldn't line 22 of that diff be if (!scs) ?
<steev> oh, yeah, the rc doesn't have the newest version of the patchset it looks like
<minecrell> lumag: It might be better to push the db410c wcnss firmware from r1034.2.1 to linux-firmware. For some reason the wcnss firmware in r1036.1 is actually a few months older than the one in r1034.2.1. Not sure if anyone knows what's different in those...

<lumag> minecrell, ugh. I'll see if we can get any info/suggestions
<minecrell> lumag: thanks! and good luck I guess 😅
<lumag> :-D
<minecrell> lumag: It would also be nice if qcom could provide a new version, since they published several security issues for wcnss since then. But I kind of doubt that is going to happen...
