<DavidHeidelberg> Heya, anyone has/had problems with 6.8-rc2 on apq8096-db820c ?
<DavidHeidelberg> The kernel with default mesa-ci config snippet reboots in early boot: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/jobs/54419202
<lumag> DavidHeidelberg, I will take a look, but most likely not today.

<z3ntu> steev: rmmod hci_uart and btqca and loading both again just leads to `[87364.999358] Bluetooth: hci0: hci_devcd_init Return:-95` and some dmesg spam
<z3ntu> konradybcio: not quite sure which module you mean?
<z3ntu> Removing the intel-lpss (uart?) with echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/remove and rescanning makes the uart reappear but seems the Bluetooth driver wants nothing to do with it anymore, doesn't try to probe anymore

<z3ntu> narmstrong: Regarding the Goodix touchscreen driver, would you know roughly what would need to be done to add support for GT9897 (downstream: goodix,brl-a) or where the main differences are?
<narmstrong> z3ntu: yes and no, brl_a has plenty of workarounds, but it's will be a pain when firmware update in implemented, for normal usage the difference would be quite limited
<narmstrong> look for IC_TYPE_BERLIN_A
<narmstrong> I had to remove a hug amount of code, and do a lot of refactoring to be accepted upstream
<z3ntu> I can imagine :)
<z3ntu> narmstrong: Maybe I'll spend some time in the coming months on it, but so far I'm happy enough with copy pasting downstream driver into my tree and using that one since that works
<DavidHeidelberg> lumag: that's more than enough. It's regression between 6.6.x and 6.8-rc2, maybe new options, if you need I can try bisect at least between 6.7- 6.8
