<z3ntu> bamse On my device an amplifier is connected to the SoC which then drives the speaker https://www.awinic.com/en/productDetail/AW88261FCR Not sure what other - I haven't looked further into what simpler i2s things you could connect, but I guess also with Raspberry Pi accessories there should be plenty?
<z3ntu> bamse I should probably send the audio stuff upstream.. Kind of one reason why I haven't done it so far is that a previous sent series for sc7280 CrOS devices was not using apr for sound but the newer thing with audioreach and stuff. So not sure if apr would work on that firmware there?
<z3ntu> For sndcard it seems there's now a 'solution' for 6490 on the mailing list, so using sc8280xp driver https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-msm/171259914092.121643.12184524914448906569.b4-ty@kernel.org/
<z3ntu> bamse Also apparently I've pushed UCM for DP audio already to postmarketOS so here's the link: https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/tree/master/device/testing/device-fairphone-fp5/ucm , nothing special really
<z3ntu> And for the sc7280 CrOS I've mentioned I think I meant this series here that uses gpr+q6apm+q6prm https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-msm/1675700201-12890-4-git-send-email-quic_srivasam@quicinc.com/ But I think since 6490 Android firmware uses APR, I'd also imagine other "normal" firmwares for sc7280/qc*6490/sm7325 also use APR and not GPR? So maybe if SC7280 CrOS ever should be supported we can just add both to dtsi and enable one or the other
<z3ntu> depending on the device?

<aka_[m]> konradybcio: are you there?
<ungeskriptet> Is there a way to delay loading firmware for the remoteprocs? It tries to load firmware before the UFS driver is loaded
<krzk> ungeskriptet: it's quite common, AFAIK, you can only control it by having things module/built-in.
<krzk> But is it a problem?
<ungeskriptet> Yes, because it tries to load firmware from the rootfs which isn't mounted yet
<krzk> You wrote it in the first statement, so again: is it a problem?
<ungeskriptet> I don't understand? The problem is that I can't get the firmware to load when the driver is built in
<krzk> it will load, after kicking, once you have root mounted
<krzk> but in that case, if somehow this is a problem for your user-space and you have it built-in, FW must be in initramfs
<krzk> So probably the problem you want to describe is that does not retry automatically to load FW after mounting rootfs?
<ungeskriptet> Yes that's it exactly
<ungeskriptet> Well how can I "kick" the driver?
<krzk> yeah, that is a problem and you need to kick the remoteproc or put FW to initramfs
<krzk> echo "start" > remoteproc syfs entry
<ungeskriptet> krzk: Ah thanks, echo start worked :)

<aka_[m]> konradybcio: do BIMC even have QOS?
<aka_[m]> 8916/8939/8909 define QOS offset for it at 0x8000
<aka_[m]> 0x8000 on 8976 is BIMC_M_APP_MPORT
<aka_[m]> ok descriptions kinda match when im looking inside icc code
<aka_[m]> M_BKE_REG_BASE
<aka_[m]> under M_APP_MPORT there is BKE_ENABLE ADDRESS 0x0300 RW
<aka_[m]> konradybcio: is that ok on unwired ICC?
<JIaxyga[m]> calebccff: https://imgur.com/a/0VldClA
<alexeymin> konradybcio: or maybe lumag: since you have reviewed same for tqftpserv, maybe you can also do this one https://github.com/linux-msm/pd-mapper/pull/13 ?
