<smaeul> apritzel: nothing. A100 == A133 == sun50iw10p1 == AW1855
<apritzel> smaeul: ah, thanks. I was thinking like this, seems like the A100 completely vanished, even from the AW website
<apritzel> smaeul: as you can tell from your inbox, I lost my nerves with the TF-A CI (again), and just verified this manually ;-)
<smaeul> I see, thank you :)
<smaeul> do you plan to respin your TF-A patches?
<apritzel> there are other things higher on my list, but I am tempted to at least push for the SOCID patch
<apritzel> I tried to find more information about the SoC revision, but it's all very confusing in the BSP sources
<apritzel> it seems like at best there is r0 and r1, for one or two SoCs (I think the A64 and H6)
<apritzel> the other SoCs just mention one revision, and this A64 register should read 0 there
<apritzel> smaeul: do you have other ideas to read the revision? Or can we just go ahead with the A64 revision register read, and fix this up later, if needed?
<smaeul> yeah, the code you have should be fine.
<smaeul> I may still take a look and do some experiments myself
<apritzel> thanks!
<apritzel> the code freeze for the next release (v2.7) is imminent, so there is not much time, or we don't care and merge it later

<MoeIcenowy> perfect work by allwinner ;-)
<gamiee> As always :D

<tllim> A100 is NOT A133
<tllim> A100 actually is T507/T519, and A133 is T509
<tllim> A100/T507/T509 is Quad A53 1.5G/Mali-G31, A133/T509 is Quad A53 1.5G/GE8300
<tllim> both 28nm process, A100/T507/T509 has HDMI but lacking MiPi-DSI, A133/T509 has MiPi DSI but lacking HDMI
<tllim> A100 name no longer been used on recent A-series roadmap and please refer as T507/T509 on the T-series roadmap.
<tllim> hopefully is clarify the A100=A133 incorrect info
<tllim> The current "active" A-series chip set are A33, A64, and A133
<tllim> sorry missed one, another still "active" one is A40i
<tllim> The current "active" T-series chips set as T3 (AKA A40i), T7, T113, T507/517 (AKA A100), and T509 (AKA A133)

<apritzel> tllim: nice, thanks for the info!
<apritzel> now lets just hope AW didn't forget about the T723 and A200 ;-)
<tllim> welcome, it has been a while that we have not meet up. Hopefully able to meet up again at FOSDEM 2023.
<tllim> there is no A200.
<tllim> also no T723
<apritzel> shame, was still on their latest roadmap, according to CNX
<tllim> CNX info already outdated.
<apritzel> so do they plan anything decent, with A55s at least, and PCIe/USB 3.0?
<apritzel> or did they totally go into the low power / very cheap corner, with even more A7 based designs?
<tllim> sorry, there is no A55
<tllim> s/A55/A55s
<gamiee> apritzel: latest new SoC I heard about is V853 : https://linux-sunxi.org/V853 but once again low-power A7
evgeny_boger has joined #linux-sunxi
<apritzel> (I meant Cortex-A55, by the way, those A numberings are heavily overloaded)
bauen1 has joined #linux-sunxi
<tllim> fro A7 based design, need to refer to R series and icenowy has better knowledge. She is toying around R329.
<tllim> Allwinner seems like gearing toward ARM China local IP, this is my sense and I can be wrong.
<tllim> ARM China is not totally equal to ARM.

<smaeul> ah, interesting!
<smaeul> and indeed comparing at the manuals shows they are incredibly similar
<smaeul> so does this mean that A100 aka T5x7 shares a die with H616? and A100 is then also a sun50iw9p1?
<smaeul> or maybe CNX is just wrong. the arisc Kconfig that I pasted yesterday clearly has A100 support, and calls it sun50iw10p1, while H616 doesn't have an arisc
<smaeul> this should clear some things up: https://tpaste.us/5kPM
<smaeul> so "sun50iw10p1" refers to a whole bunch of chip variants: A100, A133, A530, B810, MR813, R818, and T509
<smaeul> and https://tpaste.us/vya5 explains sun50iw9p1
