<setville[m]>
anyone dabbling with xiaomi-riva atm?
<barni2000[m]>
What you need for it?
<setville[m]>
building kernel 4.9.337 atm, and its riddled with errors. i fixed the btfm_slim.h problem, now im stuck at kgsl_trace.h. may i ask what toolchain you used to build the kernel? i might be using the wrong one.
czapnaper[m] has joined #msm8937-mainline
<Saalim[m]>
are you compiling is standalone?
<Saalim[m]>
you can use clang or gcc?
<Saalim[m]>
I use clang 13
<setville[m]>
gcc12
<Saalim[m]>
ah very recent
<Saalim[m]>
you might need to pickup a few patches from upstream
<Saalim[m]>
But i was able to compile fine using alpine gcc last week
<Saalim[m]>
No extra things needed other than pmos gcc patches
<setville[m]>
i did apply the patches 2 of them 99_framebuffer and the xorg fix. but i seem to be having problems with file paths. just now it was "./kgsl_trace.h" is not found.
<setville[m]>
drivers/gpu/msm folder.
<setville[m]>
im building on debian btw.
<Saalim[m]>
debian shouldnt be an issue
<Saalim[m]>
umm can you try compiling standalone with just the gcc
<setville[m]>
im probably missing some dots and some slashes. will try and figure it out tomorrow.
<barni2000[m]>
<setville[m]> "building kernel 4.9.337 atm, and..." <- why don't you build mainline it is working with mainline
<Saalim[m]>
this ^
<Saalim[m]>
8917 na?
<barni2000[m]>
let me know what is missing and i can add it
<Saalim[m]>
barni2000: what is going with 8937 currently!
<Saalim[m]>
s/!/?/
<barni2000[m]>
working
<Saalim[m]>
nice nice
<barni2000[m]>
unstable a bit
<setville[m]>
<barni2000[m]> "why don't you build mainline..." <- oh thank gawd. i'll test it. thanks barni2000: ❤️
<barni2000[m]>
if you have different panel than me let me know i could make a lk2nd with panel selection for it, i have just focused on other stuff lately
<setville[m]>
barni2000[m]: okidoki, thanks, will let you know. but now i need sleep. 👍
