<mrkiko> hauke: regarding commit 109592524663ae8bbda47e4ad51a124153a1c903 - I think the new behaviourisn't very intuitive. Infact, I need to go to the Video kernel module section to enable the media controller to "unhide" the usb audio module
<mrkiko> hauke: wouldn't it be better if kmos-snd-usb-audio could select the kmod-media-controller?

<f00b4r0> dviola: it's also entirely possible that the proprietary fw is crashing because of OOM, just like a recent enough version of OpenWrt would.

<russell--> here's something i don't get: when a commit breaks something, why is there an endless delay while someone figures out what the right way to fix it is, leaving it broken in the meantime. surely, the right approach is to revert the breakage while the right solution is found? i refer to erx and 2a25c6ace8d8, which has been in the master branch since the end of may.

<stintel> schmars[m]: thanks for bringing up that Cudy AP3000-Outdoor, deployed one outside yesterday, now I no longer need to worry about phone switching from wifi to mobile and vice-versa when doing signal/telegram/... calls in the garden
<stintel> slightly surprised by the size of the thing though :P
<schmars[m]> i have yet to deploy my first one, bluse from another mesh community also said it has pretty good coverage
<stintel> and screw mounting is kinda meh because of the curve
<schmars[m]> hah yeah pretty heave device :)
<stintel> now I need to come up with some kind of magic that wipes the device if it is ever powered up on a network other than mine
<stintel> because it's relatively easy to steal, and then someone could figure out the PSKs for my SSIDs
<stintel> unrelated mini-rant: damn, shipping costs from arace are high (considering 4x Rock 5B+ to build a k0s cluster)
