<mntirc>
interesting, i can bring gnome-shell to a screeching halt (<1 fps) by making xeyes window big (almost screen filling) and then moving the mouse cursor into it
<mntirc>
(on rk3588 / panfrost / mesa 25)
<mntirc>
(seems cpu bound, gnome-shell goes to 100%)
<daniels>
mntirc: hmm, got perf output by any chance? my guess would be that it’s just DoSed checking the input region
<mntirc>
daniels: not yet... can do some tomorrow! a small xeyes windows is ok but resizing it gradually will make the cursor stop for longer and longer periods
<mntirc>
(increasing its size i mean)
<mntirc>
xeyes is just a good reproducer though, i also gut stuttery cursor from other xwayland apps under gnome
