<steev> maz: not a complaint because i have it locally but i thought that the irqchip fix was gonna go into rc3?
<maz> steev: I was hoping to do so, but unfortunately life got in the way. it will be in this week's update for sure.
<maz> sorry about the delay.
<steev> no worries :)
<steev> i know how that is
<maz> steev: btw, do you know why the ASoC driver is spamming the console at boot time about the lack of backend DAIs?
<maz> it prevents me from seeing the early kernel messages...
<steev> maz: that only happens to me when the soundwire device has an underflow/overflow
<steev> usually 3 reboots "fixes" it
<maz> ah. I obviously don't reboot nearly enough.
<steev> oh, unless you don't have
<steev> the "proper" ucm2 setup
<maz> ?
<steev> if the ucm2 files aren't in place, alsa doesn't know wtf to do
<steev> otherwise, it's just soundwire being janky
<maz> unless these trickled in from Debian, I probably don't have this. I installed the machine about 6 months ago, long before these changes.

<steev> i believe you may have the alsa-ucm-conf package from the linaro overlay, which hasn't been updated with those changes
<steev> https://salsa.debian.org/steev/alsa-ucm-conf i have it packaged here, though i might need to redo it, i see that the debian package had an update about 3 weeks ago
<steev> there are no build deps, so if you have devscripts installed (likely not) you should be able to just clone that repo and run "debuild -uc -us -b" and it'll spit out the deb in ..
<maz> steev: /me tries
<steev> oh wait
<steev> let me push new stuff
<maz> sure!
<steev> okay, latest should be there
* maz pulls
<maz> steev: ah, I now see soundwire being a bit noisy, but I otherwise get all the messages, including the ITS splat!
<steev> yeah, not sure what is going on there, it doesn't happen every time, and no idea how to tell what causes it
<maz> no big deal on my end. seeing the full kernel log is a huge improvement, so thatks a lot for that!
<maz> thanks*
<steev> no problem at all :)
<steev> some day i'll set up my own repo with this stuff
<steev> i was going to over my vacation but... life got in the way
<maz> ;-)
<steev> but also yes, the whole dai link spamming of dmesg is *very* annoying. have to deal with it on a few different boards that aren't the c630
