alexVinarskis[m]: In enum work_type, WORK_TYPE_COUNT needs to be the last entry, since it's used as the size of the work queue array
<icecream95>
Having *_COUNT as the last element of an enum is a fairly common C idiom, but maybe I should still have documented it better

To trace the Windows driver: Start WinDbg as administrator, and connect to AsusOptimization.exe (if you are using the Microsoft Store version, Show processes from all users"
<icecream95>
will need to be checked. Then `bp hid!HidD_SetFeature`, and `d x1` whenever the breakpoint is hit
<icecream95>
If you forget to start WinDbg as administrator, then the traced process crashes with pointer authentication failures for some reason...

Hopefully the rest is obvious enough. It's a bit harder to trace initialization... that requires setting a registry entry to start a debugging server

I'm glad that the Zenbook at least uses a different product ID... the vivobook has 0x4543 which is just "EC", so I worried that it would be reused

Product ID is weird, there are both 0x0220 (keyboard that actually sends HID reports) and 0x4543 (HDTL as per dsdt) as well, but that seems to do nothing. Perhaps leftover from re-using EC code from Vivobook.

anyone tried *ubuntu 25.04* on *sanpdragon X* laptop. how was the experience?
<qwert12>
does *sanpdragon X* laptop require *non-free-firmware* for *debian* or *main* has everything covered?

There is someone from fairphone working on linux support in here right? I'm looking to get one myself, but I am a little bit curious about one thing, is it possible to dual boot /e/os / android and linux? Or is it one or the other?

I've noticed that wifi on the X13s is much faster if I disable 2.4 GHz and use 5 GHz exclusively. Is there some sort of cmdline parameter that would fix 2.4 GHz? Is it just because of a driver that just does not yet allow full speeds? Anything I can configure for better speeds? :)
<JensGlathe[m]>
Sounds more like an AP / band full issue
<erebion>
Yup, I believe the 2.4 GHz part of my AP is failing, apparently that is a known issue for some devices of that model

I just turned off 2.4 GHz, as all devices support 5 GHz anyway...

Well that would solve it (sort of). I did a similar thing in the basement to limit interference - 5GHz only down there
