<Glanzmann> Debian folks: Please test and let me know if it works for you. I only booted this once on a m1-air, but works for me: https://tg.st/u/asahi-debian-2023-03-11.tar
<Glanzmann> Debian users: With the above kernel, when you reboot. It does not reboot for me on m1 air. You need to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. release and press again for short moment.

<Glanzmann> ashi: Here are the debs: https://tg.st/u/asahi-debian-2023-03-11.tar
<ashi> Glanzmann: Thanks
<Glanzmann> ashi: For me they work except for the reboot regression.
<Glanzmann> ashi: axboe gets xorg but not gpu.
<Glanzmann> s/not/no/g
<Glanzmann> From others I have not heard back.
<opticron> I'll poke at that this evening

<ashi> Glanzmann: Tested
<ashi> Wayland M2 Air, eveything seemd working, about double framerate with glmark, however I also saw pink squares
<Glanzmann> ashi: I see. Perfect.
<Glanzmann> ashi: Thank you for testing.
<ashi> hubs.mozilla.com is completely funky now, the loading animation (rotating ring) shows those pink artifacts
sam_- is now known as sam_
<ashi> Normal desktop seems to be fine, openarena also
<ashi> I think I will stick with this for now - but have to leave now. Thanks for providing the debs, for me it seems good enough!
<ashi> bye
<Glanzmann> ashi: For me, I don't see anything wrong with hubs.mozilla.com. Are you using chrome or firefox?
<ashi> firefox
* Glanzmann too.
<Glanzmann> ashi: I see, thanks.
<ashi> did you enter the 3d world?
<Glanzmann> nope.
<Glanzmann> Ah, I see.
<Glanzmann> ashi: Btw. for me reboot and halt hangs sometimes.
<Glanzmann> I had to press the power button for a long time when rebooting and than pressing it again.
<Glanzmann> Had the same problem with the previous rebase.
<Glanzmann> ashi: Don't see artefacts int he 3d world but it is slow on m1 air.
<ashi> the 3d world is a polygon mess here, but the loading animation shows pink squares for me before I see the 3d world
<ashi> ok I will try to shutdown, have to go anywhay, but I wont come back to report, now I am on the machine I will halt ;)

<Glanzmann> I go to bed, too. Curious about the feedback.

<ashi> Glanzmann: It powered down correctly, no need to long press the button
<ashi> Hmm and on the next try with mozilla hubs I did not see the pink artifacts, seems to be random. I can still provoke gpu timeout nya easily
<ashi> Ok, now that I tried a bit more, there *are* regressions, scrolling fast here in hexchat messes things up for example.
