does someone have a 6.3-rc1 based asahi kernel tree? asking for a friend...

maz: I tried but ran into problems rebasing the t6000-dart branch on top of what was already merged and broke dcp in the process, so I went back to 6.2 plus selected branches. I think all the other branches I use were trivial to merge with or rebased on top of 6.3-rc1.
<arnd>
I did not try to rebase the gpu branch
<maz>
arnd: yeah, DART is causing me headaches. I don't need much to work, but this definitely gates NVMe and PCIe, which I depend on...

<maz>
this is a laptop that permanently lives closed on a shelf. as long as I get WiFi, storage and serial console, I'm happy.
<jannau>
let me check, rust/gpu is non-trivial and my low effort conflict resolution doesn't compile

nvme should actually work without DART. not that that helps much

jannau: indeed. the interface comes up, but doesn't go any further...
<arnd>
thanks jannau, I think that's all I need, I don't actually use pcie or wlan, just nvme and dcp
<jannau>
arnd: I suppose you use the ethernet adapter (PCIe)
<jannau>
maz: looks like issues with authentication
<arnd>
jannau: I had some problems with it a while ago and still use ethernet in my USB hub. It probably works, but not using the pci patches helped reduce the number of branches I had to merge
<maz>
jannau: sidestepped the problem with an USB Ethernet interface -- huge thanks for putting this branch together!
<maz>
and... NV is back in business.

diff for drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmfmac between v6.2 and v6.3-rc1 based ashi trees looks harmless
<jannau>
maz: you're welcome
<maz>
I wonder if this is simply that some auth algo is not selected by default anymore...
<jannau>
scanning doesn't work either
<maz>
scanning seems to work OK here.
<maz>
the machine is right by the AP, maybe that helps.
<jannau>
yes, it works. I was just confused about how iwctl works
<jannau>
iwd seems to fail with "Could not register frame watch type 00b0: -22"
<maz>
"iw dev wlp1s0f0 scan" is what I use.
