<JohnnyonFlame>
you should see it on the RG350M where the screen is 480p
<JohnnyonFlame>
it's not good, Ill tell you
<cphealy>
OK, so with the filtering disabled, it seems that you can hit 60fps quite a bit?
<JohnnyonFlame>
the target is 30fps
<JohnnyonFlame>
but yes, with linear I just about hit 60fps at some fillrate intensive areas
<JohnnyonFlame>
nearest*
<JohnnyonFlame>
doing three-tap filtering at the fragment level is too intensive I guess
<cphealy>
I assume the linear looks a little ugly?
<JohnnyonFlame>
I don't mind, but the target audience will
<JohnnyonFlame>
if it was me, I'd enable it only for textures with alpha blending
<cphealy>
ack
<JohnnyonFlame>
this is without mipmaps yet - I'm having a bit of trouble with generating it manually still
<cphealy>
Other than frame rate performance, how it rendering accuracy looking? Many visual artifacts?
<JohnnyonFlame>
on the newer firmwares? none that I haven't caused
<JohnnyonFlame>
the only weird behavior I've had was triggering the slowpath when VAO wasnt used somehow
<cphealy>
Nice!
<JohnnyonFlame>
(despite the layout and buffer numbers being the same)
<JohnnyonFlame>
I'm incredibly happy overall with Etnaviv, not really an experienced graphics developer tho
<JohnnyonFlame>
specially being able to breakpoint inside the driver at random places to understand what it does and how it all works, this is an experience only open-source can provide, so thanks yall really
