<__tim>
there's a "report abuse" button in the top right corner for a user that will alert gitlab admins
<daniels>
... and let us delete it all much easier
<emersion>
is delete the right thing to do?
<emersion>
or just block?
<emersion>
does delete prevent them from creating a new account?
<heftig>
well, I reported all the spam users i found posting public snippets
<heftig>
emersion: you want to delete including all their contributions
<heftig>
emersion: blocking individual users from being used would be futile since they're using generated names and email addresses
Rainer_Bielefeld has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<daniels>
yeah, I've always gone for 'delete user and contributions'

ack
<Consolatis>
do those spam accounts actually verify their email address?
netvor has joined #freedesktop
<Consolatis>
if not, why not just prevent *any* interaction with gitlab (snippets, forks, pushes, issues, maybe even login) until the address is verified
<Consolatis>
+ when deleting user and contributions because of spam, the used (and then verified) email address could be added to a denylist so it can't be used anymore for new accounts

<netvor>
hi, does this mean i have two instances of a11y bus? if so, does that explain that an app in the anabot.slice cannot receive any of the messages from the other -- app.slice? https://paste.centos.org/view/3c47aab2
<netvor>
the idea here is that the `2502 /usr/libexec/platform-python` under anabot.service needs to manipulate the anaconda app via the AT-SPI2 interface. but we sometimes get an empty bus while the app should be running
