<tomeu> bentiss: do you have any idea of what could have happened here? https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/tomeu/ci-templates/-/jobs/28036440#L129
<tomeu> + ssh vm wget --no-check-certificate https://gitlab.freedesktop.org

<bentiss> tomeu: at first sight, it looks very much like a FreeBSD issue to me. Maybe add wget as the list of packages that need to be installed, it might pull the correct updated version and its dependencies
<tomeu> ok, I have sent a retry, let's see what happens
<tomeu> bentiss: regarding installing wget explicitly, isn't that what this does already? https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freedesktop/ci-templates/-/blob/master/.gitlab-ci/freebsd-ci.yml#L118

<MrCooper> tomeu: looks like maybe wget requires a newer version of /lib/libc.so.7
<tomeu> yeah, do you know how that would be addressed in freebsd?
<MrCooper> (extrapolating from similar issues on Linux, could be totally off :)
<tomeu> the package manager seems to think all is fine: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/tomeu/ci-templates/-/jobs/28038008#L397
<tomeu> this seems to suggest moving to 13.1 would help: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/110690-ffmpeg-problems/#comment-1166357

<tomeu> ahem, I admire your optimism!
<tomeu> but yeah, worth trying, maybe freebsd abandons minor versions
<bentiss> it's definitely not our problem, so if a simple bump works, I'd say it's good enough
<emersion> yes, the minor versions are not officially supported 3 months after a new one is released
<emersion> 13.0 was not supported anymore 3 months after 13.1 was released

<emersion> "Under the current support model, each major version’s stable branch is explicitly supported for 5 years, while each individual point release is only supported for three months after the next point release."
<tomeu> emersion: thanks, that helps!
<emersion> and yes, in general for an upgrade you can just bump the number and it Just Werks™ (assuming you're building the image from scratch)
<tomeu> will quote you in the commit log if you don't mind
<emersion> sure, np
<emersion> (i maintain freebsd CI images for builds.sr.ht)

<bnieuwenhuizen> Heya, can someone delete https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/thread_trace ? I accidentally created it in the mesa namespace instead of my own ... but don't have maintainer permissions to delete ...
<MrCooper> if you could create it with git push, you should be able to remove it again with git push?
<bnieuwenhuizen> MrCooper: project, not a branch
<MrCooper> gotcha
<emersion> done

<karolherbst> daniels (and other admins): should we push a little bit more to get rid of the old wiki server and move everything to gitlab pages? It seems to work out great so far for nouveau and I suspect others can just copy our CI scripts and changes to make it work as well
eroux_ has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<jrayhawk> I am confused; https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/nouveau/wiki is just a link to the normal Ikiwiki.
<jrayhawk> Where is this putative nouveau gitlab wiki that is working great?
<jrayhawk> Oh I see, all the layout and templates got copied over, and I have been fooled.
<jrayhawk> What http request do I have to make to get the source code for https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/FeatureMatrix.html ?
<jrayhawk> This is not obvious to me.
ngcortes has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<jrayhawk> the 'Source' link does not return it, nor does it return any other reference to "raw" "plain" "object": curl https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/nouveau/wiki/-/blob/master/sources/FeatureMatrix.mdwn | grep -i vertex
<karolherbst> jrayhawk: this allows random users to submit merge requests
<karolherbst> the old stuff relies on .httaccess stuff or something
<karolherbst> and requires account on the server to edit stuff
<karolherbst> jrayhawk: huh? the source links works fine here in a web browser
<karolherbst> so do the edit link
<karolherbst> *does
<karolherbst> but yeah.. it's just ikiwiki, but done through gitlab CI
<karolherbst> the CI pipeline I wrote even exposes artifacts as previews, so it's as close as convenient as the normal ikiwiki stuff
<karolherbst> but the main reason to move over was to allow random users to submit merge requests
